ABOUT THE CRNA POSITION:


Eye surgery is unique. It does not require general anesthesia. Our surgery centers do not provide
general. Instead, we offer a light “twilight” to help calm the nerves. As the CRNA on duty, you will be
responsible for talking with the patient about a “twilight” medication, monitoring their vitals and
completing the patient’s paperwork accurately. You will oversee one patient at a time in surgery as
there is only one operating room. You will also comfort patients and counsel during the perioperative
period, which includes before and after the procedure. Full-time, day shift. No evenings or 


COMPENSATION:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Promotes positive, respectful interpersonal relationships while communicating effectively with
patients and their family, and acts as a patient advocate through the perioperative period.
 Administers a “light twilight” to patients who elect it; Conducts a complete and accurate preoperative
patient evaluation. No IVs. We do not have IVs or general anesthesia.
 Selects and utilizes appropriate monitoring techniques based on patient condition.
 Implements and manages patient care during perioperative period in a safe and vigilant manner.
 Selects and administers medications.
 Conducts a complete and accurate postoperative evaluation, and identifies concerns.
Monitoring and Ensuring Quality Health Care Practice
 Provides for the safe continuation of care by obtaining and giving a complete and accurate patient
report to others in the health care team.
 Assumes accountability for practice and strives to attain the highest standards of practice.
 Engages in self-evaluation and uses formal and informal evaluation information, including peer
review, to improve care and practice.
 Recommends and assists with implementing solutions for resolving procedural/clinical system
causes for incidents or risks.
 Develops/participates in Continuing Quality Improvement programs.
 Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
 Maintains a clear, complete and accurate patient record.
 Provides complete and accurate billing documentation.
Professional Requirements
 Reliably present and prepared for patient care responsibilities.
 Accepts responsibility for professional development and maintenance of professional competence,
certification, licensure, and credentials.
 Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.
 Communicates the mission, ethics and goals of the facility.
 Appearance is neat, clean and appropriate.


Minimum requirements are:
 Current CRNA license.
 Requires completion of a CRNA educational program.
 Current/valid in the State of Ohio.
 Compliant with local, state and federal health regulations.
 Knowledge of and ability to apply medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
 Performs in tactful and professional manner.
